We are an online bilingual K-8 school dedicated to nurturing students in both French and American educational traditions, offering both in-person and online learning options.

Our Mission and Vision

French American Academy of South Florida is dedicated to academic rigor and the cultivation of well-rounded students in a bilingual environment. We empower our students with the linguistic, intellectual, and cultural skills necessary to confidently navigate the complexities of an interconnected world.

We offer a comprehensive U.S. curriculum with the option to study French as a second language, accommodating learners at all levels—from beginners to advanced. Students may also pursue a French program aligned with the French Ministry of Education, offering full language immersion and the possibility of continuing their studies abroad.

Our individualized approach ensures every student receives the tools they need to thrive. Through rigorous and thoughtfully tailored curricula, we empower students to think critically, communicate effectively, and embrace diverse perspectives.

An enriched virtual and hybrid educational experience

Our elementary program provides students with a strong foundation in both English and French through a bilingual core curriculum. Students can choose a full French immersion experience or learn French as a second language. Our curriculum emphasizes academic rigor and cultural understanding, helping students develop language proficiency alongside a comprehensive study of core subjects.

In addition to language studies, we offer a robust STEM program that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation through hands-on projects and experiments. Students explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts in engaging ways that make learning relevant and exciting.

Enriching arts and music electives further foster creativity and expression from a young age, offering a well-rounded education that cultivates intellectual curiosity, cultural appreciation, and a love for learning.

Our middle school programs offer a flexible curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Families can choose between two educational paths: a bilingual dual curriculum that aligns with both Florida state standards and the French national education standards, or a full U.S. middle school curriculum that adheres exclusively to Florida standards.

For students who opt for the full U.S. curriculum, we also provide the opportunity to continue studying French as a second language. Additionally, all students, regardless of their chosen path, can explore a wide range of electives such as art, music, STEM, creative writing, drama, global issues, and debate. These electives allow students to pursue their interests, develop their talents, and enhance their critical thinking and communication skills.
